GREENVILLE – Greenville Public Library will host a Growing Harvest Seed Swap on Tuesday, October 27, from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Reference Room on the second floor, located next to the Growing Harvest Seed Library.
Part of the library’s community-based programming, the seed swap offers local gardeners an opportunity to share seeds, discover new varieties, and connect with others who enjoy gardening.
Growing Harvest Seed Library volunteer Carey Johnson will be on hand throughout the event to answer questions and help participants learn more about seed saving and sharing. Seeds brought for the swap must be heirloom or open-pollinated varieties. Please clearly label seeds with the plant name and, when possible, the variety.
Those interested in learning more about saving seeds can also explore the library’s selection of seed-saving and gardening books, conveniently located in the Growing Harvest Seed Library area.
Whether you have seeds to share or simply want to see what others are growing, everyone is welcome to stop by and participate. The event is free and open to the public.
