PIQUA — The Greenville varsity boys golf team earned a 160-168 Miami Valley League victory over Piqua at Echo Hills Golf Course.
Braxton Moore led the Green Wave with a 38, while Hayden Null carded a 39. Braylon Byers shot a 41, and Brody Weaver completed Greenville’s team scoring with a 42.
Hayden Burns finished with a 43, and Harper Kerns added a 45.
“Considering the cold, wind, and mist, the boys played really well tonight,” Greenville coach Brian Stickel said. “Braxton played really well, and Braylon had his best round tonight.”
Aydan Hare led Piqua with a 40. Lance Lawson shot a 42, while Ethan Cox and Brayden Myers each carded a 43. Dane Funderburg and Cooper Swink each finished with a 48.
“I am really pleased considering the poor conditions,” Stickel said.
Greenville improved to 7-5 with the victory. The Green Wave will play Fairborn on Tuesday, Sept. 22, before competing in the sectional tournament Thursday, Sept. 24.
