Larry George O’Dell, age 84, of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the EverHeart Care Center in Greenville.
Larry was born on November 24, 1941, in Greenville, Ohio, the son of the late Robert Chalmer and H. Virginia (McCabe) O’Dell.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife Denise O’Dell, and his brother, Ronnie O’Dell.
He is survived by his sons, Rob (Amy) O’Dell and Lon (Dianna) O’Dell; 3 grandchildren; Grant (Lynsie) O’Dell, Kyle (Janelle) O’Dell, and Ashton (Wyatt) Bentz; 7 great-grandchildren: Will, Callan, and Harris O’Dell, Thomas, and Henry O’Dell, and Celia and Remi Bentz.
Larry grew up on a farm outside of Greenville baling hay, taking care of the Holstein Cows and playing baseball. He was an avid horseman, Euchre player, and collector of John Deere toy tractors and memorabilia. He loved the Great Darke County Fair, especially the horse races, and spending time at the Greenville Moose where he was a long-standing member.
A private burial will take place at a later date at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
