Shelby Jean Mullins, age 87, of Greenville passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Village Green Healthcare Center in Greenville.
Shelby was born on September 23, 1938, in Mayking, Kentucky, to the late Archie Alexander & Belvia (Short) Webb. In addition to her parents, Shelby was also preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Mullins whom she married May 19, 1956; sisters, Ann Scott, Louise Kincer, Nellie Kincer, Larue Phillips, and Lula Phillips; and a brother, Archie Webb.
Shelby is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Deanna & Thomas Steiner of Sidney and Brucelia & Jim Good of Greenville; grandchildren, Sara & Casey Dowell of Louisville, Kentucky, Alex Good of Greenville, and Mark & Gail Koontz of Greenville; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; and a special “Thank You” to her caregiver, Michelle White.
Shelby was a 4th grade teacher in the Greenville City Schools for 40 years. She was a member of Solid Rock Apostolic Church. Shelby enjoyed reading, crafting, playing cards, lunch dates with her friends, and most of all socializing.
A celebration of Shelby’s life will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 14, 2026, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew O’Shell officiating. Burial will follow Greenville Township Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice in Greenville.
