To whom it may concern,
I hope this Newsletter finds you well. The weather warmed up quite a bit this past week, and it has been mostly dry, save for some scattered rains late in the week (https://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/CurrentMap/StateDroughtMonitor.aspx?OH. The crops in the fields continue to progress, and silage harvest has begun this past week as well. As always, be sure to watch out for farm equipment on the roads, and travel safely as harvest continues for the coming months.
If you’re interested in having some garden discussion as many of our plants are being harvested, stop in at the next Darke County Garden Roundtable. Our next session will be held at the OSU Extension Office September 30th at 6:00 p.m., where we will discuss Common Natural Plants and our Plant of the Month will be Pumpkins.
As fall approaches, I look forward to discussing Pumpkins at Worch Library. If this is a topic you would like to learn more about, I hope to see you there on September 2th at 6:00 p.m.
There’s still time to grab tickets for Farm Science Review from the OSU Extension Office. FSR is just around the corner, and you can save a few bucks by purchasing tickets ahead of time rather than at the gate. Tickets are $10.00 pre-sale and $15.00 once the event begins.
