GREENVILLE – As the growing season winds down, Greenville Public Library is welcoming back a familiar face to share tips and information on preserving the harvest.
On Saturday, September 12 at 11 a.m., the library will host Carey Johnson, the Greenville Public Library’s resident Seed Library volunteer and a repeat presenter, for a special presentation on canning.
With gardens producing their final harvests of the season, this program is a great opportunity for gardeners and home cooks to learn more about preserving fresh produce and making the most of what they grow.
Johnson has previously presented at Greenville Public Library and is a familiar face through the library’s Growing Harvest Seed Library. Her experience and enthusiasm for gardening and food preservation make her a natural fit to help community members carry their garden harvest beyond the growing season.
Whether you are an experienced canner, a gardener looking to preserve this year’s harvest, or simply curious about getting started, all are welcome to attend.
The presentation will be held at Greenville Public Library on Saturday, September 12 at 11 a.m. and is open to everyone.
