Thomas B. Hiegel, age 90, of Greenville passed away at 4:30 pm Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville.
Thomas was born on May 29, 1936, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Homer & Margaret Mary (Bailey) Hiegel. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Walter Hiegel, Jim Hiegel, Keith Hiegel, and Ward Hiegel; and a sister, Marjorie Dynes.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 72 years, Cora (Young) Hiegel whom he married on July 17, 1954; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Thomas served in the U.S. Army. Thomas retired from Sheller Globe in Union City, Indiana, with 30 years of service.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Greenville Township Memorial Garden. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar Bailey
