GREENVILLE – Greenville Citizens Baseball League (GCBL) is set to host its first major tournament of the 2026 season with the 16th Annual Summer Kickoff Bash, which begins today, Friday, May 15th, and runs through Sunday, May 17th at Greenville’s Sater Heights Park.
The three-day youth baseball tournament will feature teams competing in the 8U, 9U, 10U, 12U, 13U, and 14U divisions, bringing players, coaches, and families from around the area to Greenville for a weekend of tournament baseball action.
The Summer Kickoff Bash has become one of the longtime staples on the GCBL tournament schedule, continuing a tradition of providing competitive youth baseball while showcasing Greenville’s baseball facilities and community support for the sport.
The Greenville Citizens Baseball League continues to operate through the efforts of its Board of Directors, made up of eight dedicated volunteers who oversee every aspect of the GCBL programs. The board works year-round, organizing leagues, tournaments, field maintenance, scheduling, and other responsibilities necessary to provide baseball opportunities for area youth players.
Sater Heights Park will once again serve as the home site for the annual event as Greenville welcomes teams for the opening major tournament weekend of the summer baseball season.
