Darke County Parks announces several upcoming events, vendor applications

The Bish Cooperative Vendor Call – https://www.darkecountyparks.org/bishcooperative – Produce, cottage items, flowers, pottery, or others!

The Covered Bridge Memorial Dedication – Saturday, April 25th at 2pm. This covered bridge has been a labor of love between volunteers, staff, and everyone in between. This bridge will be dedicated to Kay Poeppelman, and you will be able to find her plaques on the bridge itself. This will be hosted at the covered bridge at 104 N. Broadway in Greenville. Across the street from the Garst Museum and behind the Maid Rites.

Bear’s Mill Spring Open House – Held on May 2nd, come enjoy this celebration of spring. With FREE tours of the historic mill at 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm, and the Millrace Dedication at 1pm, there is plenty to do. When you’ve completed your tour, enjoy mill favorites as well as handmade baked goods, handmade utensils, and canned grass-fed beef.

Millrace Project Dedication – An invitation to celebrate the end of a major project for Bear’s Mill. This will be held at 1pm on May 2nd, during the Bear’s Mill Spring Open House (11am-5pm). Come help us celebrate and thank everyone who made this project a reality.

Last Chance Mercantile – Drop off your gently used items to the Last Chance Mercantile for Gathering at Garst. May’s drop-off date is the 9th, between 10am and 2pm. Drop off is at the Lowell Thomas House, behind Garst Museum. Please make sure items are clean, so they’re ready for their new home!
