I hope this Newsletter finds you well. Darke County is replenishing some moisture as rains have continued, but we are still working our way out of a drought (https://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/CurrentMap/StateDroughtMonitor.aspx?OH). Some manure applications and field work have been done, and it won’t be long before we see planters in the fields.
The next Darke County Garden Roundtable will be held at the OSU Extension Office on Wednesday, March 18th, at 6:00 p.m. We will be focusing on companion planting, and our plant of the month is potatoes. The agenda is attached.
I’ll be at Worch Library on March 26th at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the Basics of Fishing. We’ll go over common fish in our region of Ohio, fishing safety, equipment, techniques, and more. I hope to see you there!
Thank you to all those who attended this year’s Western Ohio Dairy Luncheon series; many dairy producers throughout the region got to learn more about important topics from University Professionals.
