Temperatures are getting much better now that the new year continues its journey. I could do without the winds, only because it makes it difficult for a person who depends on a cane to get around.
After a few weeks of trying to get my life back in order, Jamie and I are spending lots of needed time together. He has been a big help when I ask for favors from him around the house. Of course, I can’t expect him to mop, do laundry or dishes but he helps me otherwise.
After some sad weeks here, just sitting around the house doing very little, I know I have to get our apartment in order, so I got busy and did some things. That includes getting rid of clutter that is so not needed, especially paper work that enters our household via the postal service, not to mention the paper Jamie and I conjure up when doing “our own things.”
Lately, I’ve been writing myself notes so I don’t forget something, I am going to go through those notes to put appointments on my calendar where they belong.
My plan is also to focus on our diets to keep us healthy. Each of us has a doctor’s appointment this week so that should help.
Life has been gloomy lately and lots of people have told me that it will eventually get better. I sure hope so. Jamie usually tells me that I look sad, and I try not to for his sake. I don’t realize I am doing that and I will work on that too.
I don’t think I could ever stop thinking about Lyle and some memory is always popping up. Oh, by the way, today (March 9) would have been his 70th birthday. If I had my way, we would have celebrated it, but he would shrug it off. Happy heavenly 70th, my dear friend.
