GREENVILLE – Each December, the Lady Bug Garden Club and the Fort GreeneVille Daughters of the American Revolution placed a wreath at the Darke County Courthouse in downtown Greenville in honor of local veterans.
“Each year we place a wreath here at the courthouse in dedication to all veterans,” said Charlene Thornhill, a 50-year charter member of the Lady Bug Garden Club.
Club members attending this year’s ceremony included Kim Cromwell, Cindy McCallister, and Thornhill. Representing the Fort GreeneVille Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, was Helen Wright.
The Greenville American Legion Post 140 Honor Guard participated in the ceremony, including a hand salute in honor of all veterans.
