DARKE COUNTY – This week’s local spotlight athletes are Darke County varsity football standouts Colt Camacho of Tri-Village and MJ Macy from Arcanum.
Camacho, a Tri-Village sophomore, scored five touchdowns against Ansonia in week 5. He recorded four rushing TDs with a total of 180 yards on the ground, and had a one-yard catch for the fifth score. The Patriots are currently unbeaten with a record of 6-0 overall and 5-0 in WOAC play.
Macy, a junior running back for the Trojans, rushed for 260 yards on 16 carries last Friday. He sparked his team in the first half on back-to-back TD runs of 82 and 65 yards, then added a 52-yard TD in the second half in a win over National Trail. The Trojans are now 5-1 overall and 4-1 in WOAC play.
