VERSAILLES – The Tigers got off to a fast start in week two, scoring on their opening drive en route to a 35-21 win over the CHCA Eagles.

The game featured a contrast in styles, with Versailles using the running game led by Landyn Knapke and the Eagles relying on the arm of Griffin Ridner-Richard.

“Tonight’s game was definitely two different styles.” Versailles coach Ryan Jones said. “One team was ground and pound, and one team was throwing it all over the place.”

While the Eagles threw for 280 yards, the Tigers’ defense held them to 15 yards rushing.
