ARCANUM – On February 13, 2024, the Joyful Jets 4-H Club met at Trinity Methodist Church in Arcanum for a regularly scheduled 4-H meeting.
The meeting started with a game led by Recreation Leader Hudson Wehrley. President Hannah Kendig called the meeting to order and led the pledges and motto. Secretary Cheyenne Swisher did roll call and read minutes from the previous meeting. The Treasurers Report was given by Caleb Wiant.
In addition, Garett Miller gave a Safety Report, followed by a Health Report given by Willis Shiverdecker.
In Old Business, online enrollment is due April 1, and club dues can be paid to the club treasurer by the April meeting.
Trash Bash is a club fundraiser all members can participate in April 20 or 21 around the county, forms can be found online.
In New Business, the 4-H Spring Recognition and Kickoff will be on March 3 at 2:00 pm at Radiant Lighthouse. For Club Awards, Leadership will go to Caleb Wiant, Cheyenne Swisher, Ethan Israel, and James Enicks. Achievement Awards will go to Brooklyn Miller, Garett Miller, and Isaac Wiant.
All members are encouraged to participate in Ohio 4-H Week to promote 4-H and the club.
There will be a county skating party on March 5, 6-8 pm, members are encouraged to wear their club t-shirts to the skating party and school during Ohio 4-H Week. Members can call the extension office by March 1 to place turkey orders, and quality assurance information was shared with members.
Club Advisors did public speaking, February birthdays were recognized, and the meeting was adjourned. Members enjoyed refreshments provided by the Advisors.
