DARKE COUNTY – On Thursday at approximately 7:36 AM Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Township Rescue, Greenville Fire Department and Greenville Township Fire were dispatched to the intersection of SR 121 and Childrens Home Bradford Road in reference to an injury accident.
A preliminary investigation revealed a white 2012 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Heidi Wolfe, (58) of Versailles was traveling southbound on SR 121 when a westbound red 2019 Dodge Caravan, driven by Shawn Bertsch (41) of Bradford failed to stop at the posted stop sign causing both vehicles to collide. The impact caused Wolfe’s vehicle to travel off the left side of the roadway and overturn, coming to rest on its top.
Wolfe and Bertsch were both transported to Wayne HealthCare with non-life-threatening injuries.
Bertsch was issued a citation for failure to stop at a clearly marked stop sign.
