DARKE COUNTY – On Tuesday at approximately 12:54 PM, Darke County Deputies, along with Greenville City Fire, Greenville Township Fire and Rescue, responded to the 3500 Block of State Route 571 in reference to a single vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2012 Chevy Traverse driven by, Devida Abel (73) of Winchester, Indiana, was traveling westbound on State Route 571 when the vehicle traveled left of the centerline and off the left side of the roadway. Abel struck a utility pole, causing lines and debris to fall from the pole, landing on a parked vehicle.
Abel and her front-seat passenger were transported to Wayne Healthcare by Greenville Township Rescue with minor injuries.
